Twisting & Moving
파주출판단지의 중심부를 가로지르는 하천에 면하고 있으며, 이 억새풀이 우거진 하천을 건너는 다리와 두면의 도로에 의해 둘러싸인 모퉁이 위치로서, 역동적이며 유연한 성격을 지닌 이 대지 위에 몇 개의 투명 유리벽으로 구성된 옥외전시장과 길다랗게 비틀린 금속성의 매스가 가볍게 얹혀졌다.
이 비틀리면서 움직이는듯한 금속성의 매스형태는, 파주출판도시를 둘러싸고 있는 자연의 형태적 맥락과의 동질적 조화를 꾀하기 위하여 출현되었으며, 또한 출판단지내의 역동적인 순환적 흐름의 변환점에 위치한 이 대지의 흐름 역학적 성격에 순응함으로서, 복합적으로 발생되었다.
부유하면서 움직이고 있는 이중커브의 매스는 움직임이 동결된 역동적 내부건축공간을 발생시키고 있으며, 이곳은 (주)포토피아사가 생산하고 있는 사진관련제품의 제작 및 가공의 작업장으로 사용 될 것이다.
흐르는 공간으로 연출되어진 썬큰라운지가 있는 리셉션홀, 중층라운지 그리고 부유하는 듯한 연출효과로 사진작품을 전시하게 될, 투명유리벽으로 구성된 옥외전시 공간은 금속주물의 살아있는 듯한 이 건축물의 대표적인 인상이 되는 내외부공간이 될 것이다.
전반적으로 정적 구성이 되어있는 이 단지에 부분적 역동성의 변화가 가해짐으로서, 파주출판도시가 보다 활력있는 정적 도시로 발전되기를 기대하는 것이다.
This site is faced to the stream across the heart of the Paju bookcity and the place is a corner surrounded by bridge and roads.
On this dynamic and flexible site, the twisting metallic mass and open-air exhibition deck consisted of transparent glass walls landed lightly.
The form of this twisting and moving metallic mass is deprived from the shape of the natural context surrounded Paju bookcity to harmonize with each other. At the same time, the formation of the mass related to the dynamic character of this site.
The moving mass of floating double-curve produced the frozen, dynamic interior space and this building will be used as workshop of production and processing of the photo-related product of PHOTOPIA LTD.
Reception hall produced with flow space, mezzanine lounge, and outdoor exhibition space which consisted of the transparent glass walls that will produce floating display, are the representative spaces of the internal, and external spaces of this purple whale.
With the change of partial dynamic of this twisting mass, we look forward that this static Paju bookcity will develop to be more vital static city.
